BIOGRAPHY
Sandra Carlucci has had a passion for singing since she sang her first nursery rhyme. She pursued that passion through her school years singing in choruses and school plays and continued to refine her vocal talent performing with local cover bands. But she longed to develop her own music and vocal style an began to write and record her own material. Since 1999 Sandra has been an artist relentless about the evolution of her music. In time Sandra defined herself as every bit as worthy as the new crop of females who write and perform their own songs. She has steadily blossomed as an artist and live performer. In April 2003, she performed at Disney's Rock 'N' Roll Beach Club. She performed at the 2004 NY International Auto Show for Camp Jeep at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. She also placed herself in among other up and coming new artists featured at the 8th Annual Millenium Music Conference 2004 in Harrisburg, PA and performed at NYC's famous "China Club" in July 2004. She performed at Club Coda in NYC in October 2004, featuring her newest material, from her forthcoming record, "Til The Groove Wears In". She regularly performs at venues in the NY/NJ area, including the famous China Club, Le Bar Bat, The Village Underground, The Elbow Room, Acme Underground, The Lion's Den, Kenny's Castaways, and also performed at Z100.3's "Raise Your Voice" promotion in Times Square.
The year 2004 brought with it new opportunities in publishing and a chance to collaborate with Italian producer,/composer, Luca "Jontom" Tomassini. Jontom's moody minimalism, entrancing guitars and touches of electronica give Sandra's music a decidedly trendy edge while never compromising her true style, and the sweet, unassuming, touchingly honest vocals that have characterized her music from the very beginning.
Her soon to be released album, entitled "Til The Groove Wears In" offers both long-time fans and new listeners a 'vintage Sandra' with an edgey new vibe. Cd's may not have real grooves like old-time records but Sandra's music will play over and over in people's heads 'til the groove wears in'.......
